The primary job function is to plan and direct the daily requirements of the warehouse, shipping department. The right candidate will also be adept at effectively creating, implementing, and directing policies, objectives, and initiatives for the shipping department in conjunction with corporate oversight and goals.
This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to join the Kent team and work with us to implement best practices in in GDP (Good Distribution Practice).

We are looking for someone to be actively engaged in warehouse activities. To be able to supervise, and guide shipping department associates in their daily activities. Develop and build a strong work relationship with inbound and outbound departments as well as drivers on the road.
Primary Duties:
- Supervise a team of shippers.
- Supporting the workload daily and working together with the warehouse supervisor and team
- Completing all shipping/picking/packing/inventory checks as required for quality control
- Maintain picking accuracy and responsibility for complete and correct shipments to customers
- Ensure shipping documents are completed and correct
- Operate equipment safely
- Optimize Freight Flow
Skill/Experience/Education:
- Experience in warehouse operations, business processes.
- Operations/warehouse experience on a similar position is preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of MS Office
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships throughout the organization.
- Comfortable speaking with stakeholders from all areas of the business at all levels of leadership.
- Sets and accomplishes challenging goals by leveraging team resources effectively.
- Building supply industry knowledge would be an asset.
