The opportunity
Our Technology Consulting Data & Analytics practice works collaboratively with our clients to enhance their ability to use and interpret data and develop their own enhanced information management capabilities to support better decision making, along with regulatory compliance within their business. Our clients need the vision to articulate the big picture and the precision to see the smallest of details.
We are currently looking for a Manager, Modern BI and Data Visualization to join our practice and help us meet the growing demand from our clients
Your key responsibilities
Develop and apply a deep understanding of the business needs to assess and propose appropriate data solutions.
Lead the delivery of key projects and build strong relationships with client stakeholders and technical consulting delivery teams
Oversee strategy and implementation engagements supporting delivery of standardized BI data products, semantic models, and enterprise reporting marts and reports to support better decision-making.
Actively fosters a team of Modern BI consultants and keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies and the field of modern bi and augmented analytics
Bring culture of design principles such as understanding the audience the decision they are trying to make and tailored the visualization for user engagement.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have
5+ years of data architecture and data engineering experience.
5+ years of data modelling and developing a semantic layer
3+ years of leading data and BI teams
3+ years of managing a data platform with data ingestion, transformation, and storage components.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Track record of creating a large-scale data platform in data-intensive environments and determining third-party technologies to integrate into the technology stack
A high level of participation in the data and analytics community
Awareness of emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies
Strong communication, presentation and business and technical writing skills
Expert knowledge of Azure and Microsoft BI stack (MS SQL, Synapse, Power BI, Power Query, Azure Data Factory)
Experience with other modern BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, Snowflake, Databricks
Ability to travel – you will likely spend a significant amount of time onsite with our clients. This travel can be as much as 50% to 80% of a work week
