Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interlocking Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing interlocking pavers, bricks, and stonework to create durable and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. This role requires proficiency with various tools and a solid understanding of construction and masonry techniques. The Interlocking Installer will play a vital part in renovation, restoration, and new construction projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Prepare work sites by clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and setting up necessary equipment.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to lay interlocking pavers accurately according to design plans.
- Mix and apply mortar or caulking as needed for secure installation.
- Operate heavy machinery safely during the installation process, including compactors and loaders.
- Ensure proper alignment, spacing, and finishing of interlocking surfaces for durability and visual appeal.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining safety protocols.
- Assist in restoration or renovation projects by repairing or replacing existing interlocking features as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, masonry, or related fields with a focus on interlocking installation preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of renovation and restoration techniques related to masonry work.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures in construction environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials when necessary.
