Our client in Coquitlam is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment operations. This role involves verifying orders, receiving deliveries, updating inventory systems, preparing shipments, cycle counting, and maintaining warehouse organization. Candidates must have experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts, strong computer skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines. Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts
Pay Rate: $21.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Verify selected orders for accuracy.
- Receive deliveries throughout the day and ensure all paperwork is complete and accurate.
- Inspect incoming materials and confirm quantities and quality standards.
- Update received materials in the inventory system.
- Close work orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Stock finished products onto warehouse shelves.
- Pick and retrieve products required for outgoing shipments.
- Perform periodic cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Arrange couriers for shipment pick-ups.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts as required.
- Prepare shipments using various shipping applications.
- Maintain general warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Move materials safely throughout the warehouse.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Strong understanding of order fulfillment processes and warehouse procedures.
- Experience with inventory control systems, MRP systems, and warehouse operations.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate math and counting skills.
- Knowledge of loading and unloading various shipment types.
- Professional communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Computer proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and rush orders.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Proven experience operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
