Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ground Person to support our team in landscape maintenance and horticultural projects in <LOCATION>. This role is vital for ensuring the safety, efficiency, and quality of our outdoor operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor work and plant care. Prior experience with rigging, GIS, or bucket operation is a plus but not required; training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and equipment operation within a professional environment.
Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including planting, trimming, and general site cleanup
- Support the setup and operation of equipment such as bucket trucks and rigging gear
- Perform basic horticultural duties like watering, mulching, and pest control
- Help coordinate the safe movement of materials using bucket trucks and other machinery
- Conduct site inspections using GIS tools to ensure project accuracy and safety compliance
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols during equipment use and landscape activities
- Support team members in preparing work sites and handling tools and materials efficiently
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of rigging, GIS applications, or bucket operation is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is a plus
- Ability to operate or learn to operate bucket trucks safely
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Commitment to safety procedures and teamwork-oriented attitude
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for operating equipment or supporting site logistics
