We are a small, client-focused accounting firm in Marda Loop offering a full range of accounting and tax services. Our supportive and collaborative team values accuracy, reliability, and professional growth. We’re currently seeking a motivated Junior Accountant / Accounting Technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare year-end working papers, financial statements, and corporate tax returns (T2)
- Prepare personal income tax returns (T1)
- Prepare year-end working papers, financial statements, and tax returns for trusts and estates (T3)
- Maintain accurate and organized files and documentation
- Collaborate with team members while also managing tasks independently
- Use and learn various accounting and tax software programs
What We’re Looking For:
- Some relevant accounting experience and/or post-secondary accounting education
- Strong organizational and technical skills with great attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and taking initiative while working as part of a team toward a common goal
- Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office and file management
- Willing to learn new software and adapt to changing systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Charismatic with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with tax software (e.g., TaxCycle, Caseware, Quickbooks) is an asset
