Position Title: Mill Trainer- Fly-In-Fly-Out
Salary Range: $65/hr + OT
About the Client and Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mill Trainer to support mill operations at a Northern Ontario mining site. The Mill Trainer will be responsible for identifying training needs, closing training matrix gaps, and ensuring mill employees are properly trained, evaluated, and signed off on the equipment and tasks required for their roles. This position will develop and deliver training programs, facilitate new hire orientations, coordinate follow-up training, maintain accurate employee training records, and work closely with the Safety team and other departments to establish consistent training procedures across the mine site.
The ideal candidate will have a technical diploma or relevant certification, approximately 3 years of experience in a similar training role, strong computer skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. MTCU Mill Common Core #810050, along with MTCU Mill Crusher, Grinding/Gravity, Leach/CND, and Reagents accreditations and TTT certification, are required. Candidates should be detail-oriented, comfortable working with all levels of an organization, and able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment

Main Accountabilities
- Determine training needs or development requirements
- Identify training matrix gaps and determine the method to fill them
- Mentor experienced employees who are providing additional coaching
- Assist in development, implementation, and continued application of Computer Based Training (CBT) program and evaluation of learnings
- Facilitate and conduct new hire orientations to Mill Operations as required
- Provide internal and external training
- Prepare and / or if necessary, purchase required training modules consistent with applicable legislation and company policies
- Monitor all employees to ascertain if follow-up training is necessary
- Provide and / or coordinate follow-up training for employees
- Ensure all employees have been properly signed off for equipment they are operating
- Maintain employee files ensuring they are up to date with all training records
- Ensure all files are complete, consistent with applicable Labour Standards
Work with the Safety team and other departments to establish training procedures to be used throughout the mine site

Main Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or certification required
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- 3 years of experience in a similar role preferred
- MTCU-Mill Common Core #810050 accreditation
- MTCU-Mill Crusher, Grinding/Gravity, Leach/CND, and Reagents accreditation
- Train-the-Trainer (TTT) certification required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with both internal and external contacts
- Ability to organize and prioritize job duties
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
