Blackbook.ai is growing and we're looking for a Tech Lead Full Stack Developer to join our team. You'll work directly on client engagements, embedded with client teams to lead the design and delivery of scalable, production-grade web applications and digital platforms.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You won't just be directing from the sidelines; you'll be writing code, making architectural decisions, and setting the technical standard for the team around you. You'll work closely with our Project Managers and Solution Architects to translate business requirements into robust, maintainable solutions. Client-facing experience and the ability to work on-site when required is essential.
What you'll be doing
- Lead technical delivery across the full stack - owning architecture decisions from database to UI
- Design and build scalable .NET / C# backends with clean API design, business logic separation, and solid data access patterns
- Develop modern React and TypeScript frontends that are performant, accessible, and maintainable
- Define and enforce engineering standards across the team - code reviews, branching strategies, testing practices, and documentation
- Establish and maintain DevOps foundations - Azure DevOps pipelines, Git workflows, CI/CD, and deployment automation on Azure
- Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and security concerns proactively
- Collaborate directly with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and manage expectations at a technical level
- Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level developers, conducting code reviews and driving continuous improvement
- Deliver handover documentation that leaves clients with self-sufficient, capable teams
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Full Stack Developer, with a track record of owning end-to-end delivery
- Strong .NET / C# skills - RESTful APIs, clean architecture, Entity Framework, and backend best practices
- Solid React and TypeScript experience - component design, state management, and building production-ready frontends
- Experience with Azure - App Services, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and CI/CD via Azure DevOps
- Confident with Git-based workflows, branching strategies, and code review practices
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills and comfortable presenting technical decisions to non-technical audiences
- Experience working in agile sprint environments, ideally on client-facing engagements
- Ability to work on-site with clients as required
