Administrator, Accounts Payable
This role supports day-to-day accounts payable operations by ensuring accurate, timely processing of invoices and payments in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies, maintain strong financial controls, and support overall accounting operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The incumbent may be responsible for all or some of the following:
- Gathering, sorting, and filing documents and related information
- Data entry for high volume of transactions, including matching to goods received documentation and purchase orders
- Critical review and edit of tickets and invoices as necessary to ensure accurate payments and proper costing
- Communicating with vendors regarding discrepancies, timelines, and procedures
- Ensure procedures are adhered to and deadlines are met for invoice and payment processing.
- Assisting to other team members to meet their cross-training requirements.
- Participating in the development and ongoing changes to policy and procedures as necessary to maintain proper costing and payment
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and meet deadlines
- Process payments by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements and obtaining proper authorization of payment
- Reconciling statements and transactions
- Resolving account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments
- Providing back-up to Reception
- Prepare reports as necessary
- Other tasks as required
REQUIREMENTS:

Computer knowledge of Microsoft Outlook , Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and SAP (asset)

Basic understanding of accounting functions, invoicing, payments, credits, and reconciliations

Accounting diploma or 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role is an asset

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a lot of change and many deadlines

Experience within a high-volume transaction environment is considered a strong asset

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge of the construction industry would be an asset, with a focus on heavy trucks and equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
COMPENSATION
The expected range for this position is $44,000 - $55,000. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
