The BGC Hamilton-Halton operates EarlyON Centres, Early Learning and Child Care Centres across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day activities of reception area, including supervision of the administrative team and developing and overseeing work schedules to ensure proper shift coverage.
- Provide support to the Club’s programs by identifying and prioritizing admin work requests assigned by Program Supervisors and Directors.
- Serve as initial triage for IT support and provide support with software help such as Rec Desk, and Lillio
- Asset management tracking of IT inventory such as laptops, IPads, and computer equipment; sign in and out of equipment and managing IT support requests;
- Manage Office Supplies and Equipment; Monitor inventory levels, and ensure all office equipment is functioning properly.
- Track office expenses and maintain financial records, while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Facilitate effective communication between departments and manage internal communication protocols.
- Main contact for facility cleaners contract and point person for addressing issues and ordering supplies
- Maintain professional relationships with community partners and technology vendors
- Build relationships with children, youth and families to create a sense of belonging and support
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of program offerings
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A diploma or certificate in Business Administration / Office Administration or equivalent
- Two years of reception or administrative assistant experience
- A commitment to the Clubs Mission, Vision, Core Values
- Experience working in a Recreation Centre an asset
- Excellent computer skills and IT support knowledge
- A clear Vulnerable Sector Check and Intermediate First Aid/ CPR
