The Process Manufacturing Technician ensures the harmonization of methods, processes, and the performance of production lines in accordance with quality, safety, loss, lead-time, and cost objectives. The role also contributes to the technical training of line operators and production/preparation team leaders (equipment settings, monitoring of process indicators).
Responsibilities
(Non-exhaustive list of duties that may be performed in this role)
Operational and Technical Management
- Analyze operational documents (production schedules, reports, non-conformities, etc.);
- Define, formalize, and update equipment setting parameters;
- Organize and conduct industrial trials (new products, processes, raw materials);
- Prepare trial reports and analyses;
- Update tracking tools and reports.
Quality, Hygiene, and Safety
- Monitor product quality throughout the process;
- Apply and comply with quality, hygiene, safety, and environmental standards;
- Identify anomalies and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Communication and Training
- Train line operators and team leaders;
- Communicate with production, maintenance, quality, R&D, and other departments;
- Provide regular reporting to management.
Continuous Improvement and Projects
- Analyze technical malfunctions;
- Propose and follow up on improvement actions;
- Participate in the commissioning of new equipment;
- Collaborate with all site departments.
Education & Experience
- College diploma (minimum) in a related field is an asset;
- Mechanical engineering training is an asset;
- Significant experience in a similar position is preferred;
- Experience in the agri-food industry is an asset;
- Proficiency in French is required for the duties of the position. Knowledge of English is an asset.
