Position Summary This role is responsible for quoting materials, processing purchase orders with vendors, tracking deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring purchasing activities are completed efficiently and accurately on time. This position will report to the property improvement project manager and provide support to the construction team for hotel renovations and new-build properties.
Key Responsibilities
-Create, process, and track purchase orders.
-Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, product availability, delivery schedules, and order status.
-Obtain and compare quotes from vendors to support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
-Maintain accurate purchasing records, files, and inventory data.
-Follow up on outstanding orders and resolve delivery discrepancies.
-Assist with inventory monitoring and replenishment of stock as required.
-Coordinate with internal departments to ensure purchasing needs are met in a timely manner.
-Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
-Support vendor relationship management and maintain supplier information.
-Assist with identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
-Perform general administrative duties related to purchasing and procurement functions.
Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent required.
-Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, purchasing or related fields is considered an asset.
-Previous administrative, purchasing, inventory or office experience preferred.
-Strong organizational skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
-Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and meet deadlines.
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
-Problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
Pay: $58,000.00 per year
