We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead and oversee all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities within our organization.
Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing all QA and QC activities to ensure products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. This role holds the highest independent authority for product conformity and certification, drives inspection performance to meet operational targets, and champions non-conformance, corrective action, audit, and continuous improvement processes across the organization.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in customer satisfaction, compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous business improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Quality Control Supervisor
- Lead and prioritize all QA department activities, ensuring receiving, first-off, in-process, and final inspections are completed accurately and on time.
- Supervise QA personnel and manage priorities in alignment with operational targets and company objectives.
- Ensure all products meet customer purchase order requirements, specifications, and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the highest authority for product conformity and approval of:
- Certificates of Conformance
- Certificates of Compliance
- Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
- Product release and rejection documentation
- Lead and manage the NCR / Quality Clinic process, ensuring timely reporting and resolution of non-conformances.
- Chair and oversee corrective action processes, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Ensure calibration systems for inspection and measurement equipment are maintained accurately and on schedule.
- Identify QA staffing, tooling, and process improvement requirements and provide recommendations to senior management.
Quality Systems, Compliance & Audits
- Maintain and continuously improve quality systems, procedures, work instructions, and standards.
- Review customer requirements and ensure proper documentation and communication throughout the organization.
- Define and enforce quality requirements for suppliers, raw materials, and purchased components.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and all applicable customer, regulatory, health & safety, security, and environmental requirements.
- Lead and host external audits, including:
- AS9100 audits
- Customer audits
- Controlled Goods audits
- Health & Safety audits
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate supplier audits and approvals.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain customer satisfaction measurement processes.
- Track, analyze, and report organizational KPIs on a monthly basis.
- Lead Management Review Meetings and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Identify training requirements and support employee development initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality and operations teams.
- Support operational excellence and process improvement projects.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 4-5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience required.
- Strong knowledge of:
- AS9100 Quality Management Systems
- Aerospace manufacturing quality standards
- NCR/CAR processes
- Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Experience with internal and external audits.
- Strong understanding of precision manufacturing inspection processes and documentation.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality-related documentation systems.
- Experience with ERP systems and quality reporting tools is considered an asset.
