Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Building Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and project management skills, with a background in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or related fields. This role requires leadership abilities, technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, and experience supervising teams to ensure the building operates efficiently and safely. The Building Manager will be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing staff, and implementing projects to enhance building performance.
Duties
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of all building systems including electrical, HVAC, low voltage systems, fire suppression systems, and mechanical equipment
- Supervise maintenance staff and contractors to ensure accurate completion of repairs, building improvement projects, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Develop and manage maintenance schedules using software to optimize operational efficiency.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and system diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Manage projects related to facility upgrades or renovations, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment servicing, parts procurement, and safety compliance.
- Monitor safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead emergency response planning and safety drills to maintain a secure environment for all occupants.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and project progress.
- Ensure building systems are compliant with local codes and regulations related to electrical, HVAC, low voltage wiring, and industrial standards.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in building operations or industrial environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and low voltage wiring.
- Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance planning and tracking.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to industrial maintenance tasks.
- Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in English for team coordination and reporting purposes.
- Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, HVAC system management, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and diagrams accurately.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and general facility operations.
