As a Financial Strategist, you will perform a variety of tasks to support Calgary Housing understand its long-term financial position and make recommendations to improve financial and operational effectiveness. Primary duties include:
Conduct comprehensive budgetary and financial reviews to understand and analyze how social/affordable housing is funded currently.
Develop financial, valuation and strategic forecasting models, conduct analysis, develop financial scenarios and make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop recommendations for more effective portfolio management and investment, including conducting economic analyses, forecasting and risk assessments.
Identify savings, efficiencies and opportunities for revenue growth to support the ongoing financial viability of Calgary Housing’s operating model.

Qualifications
A degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a closely related field along with completion of a minimum Level 1 Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
A minimum of 4 years of related experience and a strong working knowledge of financial principles is also required.
Proficiency with PeopleSoft (PS) Financials, PS Asset Management or similar enterprise system is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various levels of staff, management and stakeholders.
You are results oriented with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
Well-developed strategic leadership and political acumen with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Real Estate Finance experience will be considered an asset.
Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

Compensation: Unrated Level E $77,891 - 117,609 per annum
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week, earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
