Southern Alberta Pipe is a division of Lafarge Canada Inc. We produce Precast stormwater and wasterwater solutions and are currently seeking applications for a Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor will direct and coordinate production crews and implement methods to increase the efficiency of operational processes.
In this role, you will report directly to and work with the Southern Alberta Operations Manager. Works with Maintenance and Quality Control, Production Foreman and Production Personnel.
As a Production Supervisor, you will:
Schedule crews to ensure production is met.
Work with Production Foreman to ensure production requirements are met.
Work with Plant Maintenance Foreman to ensure production is maintained.
Supervise production processes.
Ensure continual development and training of employees.
Administer labour agreements according to guidelines and resolve employee disputes and complaints.
Provide input and participate in Research & Development for new products and production process improvements; maintain proficiency in industry innovations.
Implement plant improvements and special projects.
Set daily targets for KPIs and give them to the Purchasing & Production Assistant for reporting.
Monitor and maintain raw material stock levels.
Work with QC to ensure that products are being produced to meet current standards.
Work with Operations Manager to ensure safety standards are maintained or improved.
Five plus years of industry experience
Must be willing to work overtime and in all weather conditions
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Works well in a team environment.
Strong people, analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
Able to handle difficult issues in a positive way.
Driven to achieve or exceed set targets.
Strives for continuous improvement.
Must have a valid class 5 driver’s license.
