This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Business Consultant to support business transformation and process improvement initiatives. This role focuses on analyzing and optimizing business processes, driving operational excellence, and enabling strategic outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and help implement scalable solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to business transformation and process optimization initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Analyze current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities, and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
- Develop and document process maps (AS-IS and TO-BE), conduct root cause analysis, and define measurable KPIs to track performance improvements.
- Support and drive end-to-end process improvement initiatives, ensuring sustainable and measurable outcomes.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements, solve business challenges, and support informed decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and implement future-state processes, ensuring business readiness and adoption.
- Lead or support change management activities, including communication planning, training, and stakeholder engagement, to ensure successful implementation.
- Provide strategic consulting support, including business case development, transformation roadmaps, and operational excellence recommendations.
- Collaborate with technology and delivery teams to ensure business requirements are clearly translated into solutions.
- Monitor and report on initiative progress, risks, and outcomes, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 5–7 years of experience in business consulting, business analysis, or process improvement roles.
- Strong knowledge of business process analysis and optimization techniques (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, BPM).
- Proven ability to analyze complex business problems, synthesize insights, and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Experience in process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and facilitation, including leading workshops and presentations.
- Strong understanding of change management principles and experience supporting transformation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and levels of the organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is an asset.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments is preferred.
Nice to Have Skills
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, PMP, or related disciplines.
- Experience in industries such as banking, financial services, or consulting environments.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
