Job Summary
We are looking for a strong service technician in the Red Deer area with steam boiler experience, a Gas A ticket, and hands-on experience repairing boilers up to 600 HP. This is not a light-duty service role. We need someone who knows boilers in the field, can diagnose problems properly, work safely, communicate clearly with customers, and take pride in doing the job right the first time. The right person will be technically capable, steady under pressure, and confident in working directly with customers, inspectors, and the team to strengthen our reputation in the region.
We want someone who takes ownership, supports customers at a high level, and sees the opportunity to help recapture market share through quality work, responsiveness, and pride in service. This individual will be a key part of re-establishing Prime Boiler as the preferred provider in the area by bringing skill, accountability, and a strong service mindset to every call, every repair, and every customer interaction.
Duties
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment
- Service calls in AB, BC and Sask
- Provide preventative maintenance of company and customer equipment
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Maintaining mobile inventory of service truck
- Use electronic timesheet portal
- Ensure availability while on call as scheduled
- Ability to travel regularly
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures
- In Shop service as required
Requirements
- Be familiar with fuel fired boilers and all related controls
- Be able to troubleshoot and repair burners on steam and hot water boilers
- Be available for on call schedule
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Be able to physically lift a minimum of 35 lbs. to pass fit to work test
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership.
- Be able to use computer for electronic timesheet entry
- Remain current with federal, provincial and local codes and regulations
- Possess a valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
