Medical Office Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support within a busy medical office, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role involves managing patient interactions, maintaining electronic medical records, and supporting clinical staff. Candidates with prior experience in medical or dental office settings and proficiency with Juno Oscar EMR software are highly preferred. Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems such as Juno Oscar and Clinicaid
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments as needed
- Prepare patient charts and documentation for clinical staff
- Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and correspondence
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and rescheduling to optimize provider availability
- Support clinical staff with administrative duties related to patient care coordination
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations to protect patient confidentiality
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Juno Oscar and microsoft office
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare documentation
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and staff
- Familiarity with office equipment including multi-line phone systems, fax machines, and printers
- Basic administrative experience including data entry, billing, and appointment management

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
