Endless Resources is a growing adventure retail and rental business based in Comox Harbour. We sell, rent, and service outdoor adventure products including watersports gear, e-mobility vehicles, marine gear, apparel, sunglasses, paddle sports equipment, and adventure lifestyle products.
We are looking for a high-performing, hands-on person who wants more than a standard retail job. This role is ideal for someone who loves adventure, sales, the outdoors, and the opportunity to help grow a business while being rewarded for performance.
Position Overview
The Adventure Retail, Rentals & Shopify Operations Lead will support day-to-day retail operations, online sales, Shopify POS, rental bookings, inventory, supplier communication, customer service, equipment assembly, and basic maintenance.
This role requires someone who is reliable, self-motivated, organized, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently in a growing small business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily sales through Shopify Online and Shopify POS
- Process in-store purchases, online orders, refunds, exchanges, deposits, and rental transactions
- Update Shopify product listings, pricing, photos, descriptions, inventory, promotions, and discount codes
- Respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, website, social media, and in person
- Manage rental bookings, customer check-ins/check-outs, deposits, returns, inspections, and damage documentation
- Use Smartwaiver to ensure waivers are completed before rentals or adventure activities
- Support rentals of vessels, RVs, overland vehicles, e-bikes, e-moto, scooters, paddle boards, watersports gear, and other adventure equipment
- Assemble, inspect, clean, maintain, and organize watersports gear and e-mobility vehicles
- Perform basic maintenance checks on e-bikes, e-moto, scooters, paddle boards, inflatables, marine gear, and rental equipment
- Track repairs, damages, missing parts, battery condition, charging schedules, safety gear, and service needs
- Work with suppliers to manage inventory, ordering, pricing, warranties, availability, and new product opportunities
- Research and recommend new products to sell or rent
- Build relationships with local partners, marinas, tourism businesses, guides, suppliers, and adventure operators
- Help develop new expeditions, adventure packages, rental bundles, and seasonal promotions
- Keep the retail, rental, storage, and customer areas clean, organized, and professional
- Support business growth through sales, follow-up, promotions, social media support, and customer service
Ideal Candidate

- Love the outdoors, adventure, boating, watersports, e-bikes, e-moto, camping, or overlanding
- Have strong customer service and sales skills
- Are comfortable using or learning Shopify, POS systems, Smartwaiver, booking systems, email, and social media
- Are mechanically inclined and enjoy assembling, inspecting, or maintaining gear
- Are organized, reliable, trustworthy, and self-motivated
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Take ownership and look for ways to improve the business
- Enjoy working with customers, suppliers, and local partners
- Want freedom, responsibility, and performance-based earning potential
Required Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer and technology skills
- Ability to learn product details and explain them to customers
- Ability to lift, move, clean, and organize rental and retail equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation to Comox Harbour
- Willingness to work weekends and peak-season shifts
Preferred Experience
Experience in any of the following is considered an asset:
- Retail sales
- Shopify or e-commerce
- POS systems
- Adventure tourism or rentals
- Marine, powersports, e-bikes, scooters, or watersports
- Inventory management
- Social media or online marketing
- Basic mechanical assembly or maintenance
- Customer bookings or waiver systems
- Facebook, Instagram Skills for social selling and posting.
Compensation
This position includes a base wage plus performance incentives.
Compensation may include:
- Hourly wage or salary depending on experience
- Sales commission
- Rental booking bonuses
- Monthly performance incentives
- Growth-based bonuses
