Full Time Position

Jacob Flooring is Building Materials Distributor, mainly handling laminate, hardwood and SPC flooring, plus staircase spindles and moldings. Our warehouse/showroom is located in Burlington


The successful candidate will serve as the company receptionist, greeting our customers as they enter the showroom and directing telephone calls to our various departments. This person will also answer product questions; update database, verify inventories; process orders, take payments, prepare and distribute paperwork as required; handling returns, exchanges and credits – basically fulfilling all client needs to ensure an exceptionally high level of customer satisfaction.

Job functions:

  • Greeting and assisting customers as they enter the showroom
  • Answering telephone calls and inquiries - redirecting them to the appropriate department/person
  • Handle telephone orders
  • Assisting in showroom appointments/sales
  • Assisting customers in resolving any product issues, returns, exchanges, etc.
  • Generate invoices and take payments
  • Follow all company procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Administrative duties

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 Years proven customer service experience
  • Extremely adept at learning and retaining product information quickly and efficiently
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Outstanding communication, documentation and listening skills
  • People oriented – engaging personality – positive attitude - friendly
  • High attention to detail with ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Social media skills - an asset
  • Experience with Quickbook - an asset
  • College Diploma - an asset
