Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Yard Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining yard operations, assisting with loading and unloading materials, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials, equipment, and products safely
- Organize and maintain yard inventory
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks
- Serve customers in the yard by locating products, helping load purchases, and providing a positive experience
- Provide basic customer service by answering questions and directing customers as needed
- Operate basic equipment (forklift experience is an asset)
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the yard and warehouse
- Perform general labour duties as assigned
- Follow company safety procedures and policies
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work outdoors
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations (preferred)
- Forklift certification (asset, not required)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Steel-toe boots required
