Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Technical Sales Account Manager to join our growing team in Surrey, BC. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex technology and commercial success, leveraging your technical acumen to drive product adoption and revenue growth.
You will split your focus between expanding a high-value portfolio of existing clients and aggressively prospecting new business. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of computing hardware, industrial automation, and edge computing, with a proven ability to deliver tailored hardware solutions that optimize client operations.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Business Development
- Grow Existing Accounts: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with local and international clients to maximize account value and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
- New Business Acquisition: Actively prospect, network, and identify emerging markets to secure new customer accounts.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct high-impact physical and virtual product demonstrations and engineering consultation calls to showcase the technical advantages of our solutions.
Technical Collaboration & Sales Operations
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate closely with the engineering team to translate complex technical specifications into clear, value-driven customer language.
- End-to-End Sales Management: Manage pre- and post-sales workflows, including conducting needs assessments, preparing proposals, generating technical quotations, and responding to RFPs/RFQs.
- CRM & Data Hygiene: Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions, sales pipelines, and administration within our CRM and ERP platforms.
Market Presence & After-Sales Support
- Industry Travel: Represent Acura Embedded Systems at tradeshows, customer site visits, and field deployments to support prospecting and brand visibility.
- Client Onboarding: Provide post-sale training and support to guarantee seamless product implementation and adoption.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor landscapes, and client feedback to identify opportunities for future product development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Industry Experience: Proven track record in technical sales, account management, or a similar commercial role within the industrial technology, automation, or resource sectors.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of computer hardware, electrical components, industrial automation, and edge computing.
- Industry Assets: Prior experience or familiarity working within the Energy, Oil & Gas, Mining, or HazLoc industries is highly desirable.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience navigating CRM and ERP platforms, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and modern lead-generation software.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to present sophisticated technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Project Management: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and sales cycles simultaneously.
Position Details

- Compensation: Annually renewable contract structure features a competitive base salary paired with an aggressive commission plan.

Pay: $70,000.00-$220,000.00 per year
