Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled DZ Operator / Labourer to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to work with heavy machinery and contribute to diverse construction projects. As a key team member, you will operate various types of heavy equipment while assisting with general labour tasks. This position is ideal for individuals eager to develop their skills in construction and heavy equipment operation. The applicant must have and prove 3 years of experience operating a DZ vehicle in Ontario.
Duties
- Operate heavy machinery including boom trucks, skid steers and excavators
- Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites by loading/unloading materials and equipment
- Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment and ensuring proper operation at all times
- Collaborate with team members to execute project plans efficiently and accurately
- Perform general labour duties such as site cleanup, material handling, carpentry, steel work and assisting as needed
Requirements
- Valid DZ license with 3 proven years of experience operating heavy equipment such as boom trucks, dump trucks or other DZ vehicles in Ontario
- Prior construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with construction processes and safety protocols
- Strong knowledge of carpentry and woodworking. Welding and steel work experience is well valued but not required.
- Clean CVOR
- Proficiency in operating Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy machinery is highly desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety awareness
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labour tasks effectively
- Teamwork skills and a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in construction operations

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
