As a member of the Food and Beverage Department the Bartender/Server is responsible for creating a warm and friendly atmosphere by engaging with guests and delivering exceptional service to ensure a memorable guest experience every time.
Impact & Influence on Guests, Associates and Business
- Responsible for taking menu orders and/or preparing drink or cocktail requests
- Serve/replenish and or clear food, and beverages
- Knowledge of menu, in house specials, promotions, etc. and utilize upselling techniques to maximize revenue
- Engage with customers, provide recommendations on menu and drink offerings, including preparation and ingredients
- Accurately total, process and collect payments from guests to include, but not limited to, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, making change, processing gift certificates, room charges
- Handle any guest concern or complaints to ensure 100% guest
- Respond to telephone inquiries, room service orders and reservation requests
- Clean designated areas in accordance with department standards and health and safety regulations and requirements
- Comply with Provincial Liquor and Gaming Regulations
- Knowledge of department cleaning products; this includes complying with all safe handling procedures and wearing required PPE as necessary
- Conduct on the job training to new associates as required
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Skills
· Bartender/Server experience an asset
· Food Safe Certification an asset
