HealthMax-St. Clair is a busy, multidisciplinary rehabilitation clinic serving the GTA for over 20 years. Our team includes Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Registered Massage Therapists, and Rehabilitation Assistants who work together to help patients recover from motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist with delivering rehabilitation programs under the direction of our Physiotherapists and Chiropractors while ensuring an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist with therapeutic exercise programs and patient rehabilitation.
- Administer treatment modalities, including laser therapy and shockwave therapy (training provided).
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean and functioning properly.
- Educate patients on prescribed home exercise programs.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the treating practitioner.
- Accurately document treatments and maintain patient records.
- Support clinic operations and provide outstanding customer service.
- Work collaboratively with practitioners and front desk staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Qualifications
- Physiotherapist Assistant diploma or equivalent rehabilitation assistant training.
- Previous experience in a physiotherapy or multidisciplinary clinic is considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with MVA and extended health patients is an asset.
