Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cook & Team Member to join our team at our Ajax location. This role is vital in providing exceptional food service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent customer service skills, and a strong understanding of food safety standards. Whether working in the kitchen or serving customers, you will play a key role in maintaining the high-quality standards of our establishment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Assist in food handling, portioning, and meal preparation to meet customer demand
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are met
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food service and prep tasks
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies, adhering to safety guidelines
- Contribute to a welcoming environment by providing friendly and attentive customer service
Skills
- Experience cutting meat an asset
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Excellent serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and meal preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry
