Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Excavator/Bobcat/Roller Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of excavators and heavy machinery, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. The Excavator Operator will be responsible for performing excavation tasks on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed accurately and on time.
Duties
- Operate excavators, Bobcat and Roller including Caterpillar models, to dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks.
- Perform loader operation and backhoe operation as needed to support various construction activities.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery during operations.
- Assist in building structures by moving materials and preparing sites for construction.
- Operate graders and bulldozers when required for site preparation and grading tasks.
- Engage in horizontal drilling operations as necessary for utility installations.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and bulldozers.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Valid commercial driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols on-site.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members.
