Barista (Part‑Time, 2 Days/Week) — Who Is Joe? Coffee Roasters
We’re hiring again — our current barista/assistant is moving up into the roastery, so we’re looking for the next great person to join our team.
Position: Barista (Part‑Time)
Schedule: Ideally Tuesday + Wednesday, 8am–4pm
(We can be flexible on days for the right person.)
Location: Vancouver, BC
Compensation: $19/hr + full tips
About the Role
This is a barista position inside a working roastery. You’ll run the bar for two days a week, serve our neighbourhood regulars, and help keep the café side running smoothly. It’s a great role for someone who loves coffee, wants consistent daytime hours, and enjoys being part of a small, growing roasting company.
What You’ll Do
- Make consistently great espresso and brewed coffee
- Open and close the café independently
- Provide warm, friendly service to our regulars
- Keep the bar clean, stocked, and organized
- Support small production tasks when needed (labeling, packing, etc.)
Who You Are
- Confident working solo on bar
- Friendly, reliable, and comfortable in a small team
- Experienced barista (or quick learner with the right attitude)
- Someone who enjoys a calm, quality‑focused service environment
- Bonus: interest in roasting or production — we promote from within
