We are looking for a qualified Rotating Equipment Project Coordinator with the ability to work within a multi-discipline engineering team and vendors. We serve many different market sectors including Oil & Gas, Mining & Metals, Chemical & Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, Municipal Water & Wastewater Treatment etc.

ACCOUNTABILITY:Broad position responsibilities will include:
Being accountable under direction of project manager for the day-to-day functions related to coordination and driving projects towards ensuring on time performance, superior quality and profitability
Be a main point of contact for customers, the company’s internal organization, represented manufacturers and suppliers as they relate to projects.
Act as a facilitator in the absence of the Project Manager.
Represent Project Team in the daily production meeting.
Uphold the corporate values of The Company.
Customer satisfaction and meeting agreed deadlines/schedules.
Follow company policies and developing long-range goals and objectives to ensure continuous growth and improvement.

CORE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Acting as a project team leader, assist the Project Manager for projects in coordinating, planning, communicating and executing the delivery of core project component.
Plan, coordinate and administer the Hand-Over Process from Estimation / Inside Sales to Projects Team. Maintain, organize and update project binder during the course of project.
Plan project, procure resources, monitor profitability and develop high level schedule for projects and provide weekly updates of such
Coordination with Document control for the timely submission of documents according to forecast submittal dates and monitor document status.
Set-up project meetings with internal and external stakeholders and prepare meeting agendas
Assist the Project Manager in the quotation process
Manage project invoicing, financial updates and cost tracking.
Administrate project close-out, archive project documents
Coordinate with shop manager/supervisors and QC department for the smooth execution and completion of fabrication, assembly & production as per project schedule.
Facilitate goods returns with Inventory Management & Purchasing.
Any other duties as required for the execution and completion of projects as advised by immediate Supervisor

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree or Diploma in a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Project Managers in the delivery of highly technical, large scale rotating equipment projects.
  • Registered with PMI (Project Management Institute) as CAPM or PMP (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Experience with MS Project is mandatory and above average computer skills
  • Familiarity with rotating equipment packaged systems
  • Understanding of general layout of equipment packages, P&IDs, piping design and relevant industry standards and codes.
  • Experience in coordination with structural and piping fabrication shop.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing (fabrication, machining and assembly) processes.
  • Good knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, CWB, ABSA, OH&S, ANSI, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities and can work with minimum supervision.
  • Detail-oriented, with an emphasis on quality of work.
  • Proven exceptional work-ethic, self-motivated, and highly driven.
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform other duties as required.
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • May require overtime work under direction of immediate supervisor
  • Frequent shop visits as required.
