Indigo Pharmacy Group has an opportunity for a full time Pharmacist to join our expanding team in our highly clinical and integrated community pharmacy environments. Our pharmacies are located in a shared space with physicians. The successful applicant will work closely with physicians, pharmacy and medical clinic staff to provide optimal patient care.
Successful applicant will work between all locations. Majority of shifts at New Westminster (4 days in New Westminster, 1 day in Vancouver). Our pharmacies are opened Monday to Friday only, 9am to 5pm. Closed on BC Stat holidays.
Duties:
- Manage the medication needs of patients through consultation, dispensing, medication reviews, etc
- Coordinate drug coverage of specialty medications with Pharmacare, third-party payers and manufacturers' patient support programs
- Monitor treatment plans and outcomes as part of the team with physicians
- Be a resource to prescribers in identifying and solving drug therapy problems and answering drug information questions
- Provide immunizations and self-injection of drug administration training to patients
Requirements/Assets:
- Mandatory: Registration with the College of Pharmacists of BC in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is an asset but not required
- Immunization certification required
- Excellent communication and computer skills
- Experience with third-party plans is an asset
- Ability to work independently and with a team
