Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items under supervision
- Support the cooking team by preparing simple menu items and ensuring timely meal assembly
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including counters, sinks, and storage areas
- Help with restocking supplies and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods
- Adhere to all food safety protocols and restaurant policies to promote a safe dining environment
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is valued!
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to perform basic meal preparation and assist with cooking tasks effectively
- Strong attention to detail when cleaning dishes and maintaining hygiene standards
- Good communication skills to work seamlessly within a team setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm
