Role OverviewInline Group Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled
QC Project Coordinator to support our growing materials testing and quality control operations. This role is responsible for coordinating quality control activities across multiple projects, with a primary focus on project setup, technical review, reporting, and field support related to compaction and materials testing.
The QC Project Coordinator acts as a key link between field, laboratory, and office teams to ensure testing programs are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
While primarily office-based, this role includes periodic field visits to support testing staff, provide technical guidance, assist with training, and help resolve field or reporting issues.
Responsibilities:Project Setup & Administration

Perform project startup activities, including reviewing project requirements and uploading specifications, drawings, and documentation into the LIMS system (Metafield)

Ensure testing requirements and reporting templates are correctly configured within Metafield

Maintain organized and accurate project records in accordance with company procedures and client requirements
Quality Control & Reporting

Review compaction testing reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and applicable standards

Sign off on compaction testing reports and distribute finalized reports to clients through Metafield

Identify testing irregularities or non-conformances during report reviews and coordinate follow-up actions
Field & Technical Support

Provide technical support to field staff regarding compaction testing methods, acceptance criteria, and reporting requirements

Assist in troubleshooting compaction testing issues identified during report reviews or field activities

Conduct field visits as required to support testing staff, provide guidance, and assist with training
Office Technical Support

Prepare technical letters, summaries, and memoranda based on field inspections and testing results

Support project managers and engineers with documentation and data interpretation related to materials and compaction testing
Field & Laboratory Testing

Perform field testing as required to support project demands

Conduct materials laboratory testing as required, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and internal QA/QC procedures
Qualifications:
-
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related field

3–5 years of experience in geotechnical or construction materials testing required

Familiarity with LIMS systems; Metafield experience considered an asset
-
Working knowledge of applicable CSA, ASTM, and Alberta Transportation standards

Previous experience in project coordination or project management considered an asset

Valid driver’s license with the ability to attend field sites as required
