Islamic Academy is seeking a qualified and passionate Full-Time Elementary
Arabic Language Teacher
to join our team. As a growing pre-kindergarten to
Grade 12 school, EIA offers a dynamic and supportive environment where

We are looking
for an outstanding and dedicated educator who is passionate about teaching
Arabic to young learners and fostering a love for language learning. The ideal
candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom
environment that supports both native Arabic speakers and students learning
Arabic as an additional language. This role is essential in building
foundational language skills while encouraging confidence, curiosity, and a
lifelong appreciation for the Arabic language.
Key
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver engaging Arabic language
instruction, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing
- Create age-appropriate lessons that support
language acquisition for both native speakers and second-language learners
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom
environment that encourages participation and confidence
- Develop and assess student learning; maintain
accurate and up-to-date records of progress
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to
promote engagement, creativity, and foundational literacy skills
- Communicate regularly and effectively with
students, parents, colleagues, and administration
- Assign meaningful practice activities to reinforce
learning
- Maintain strong classroom management and establish
clear expectations for behavior
- Integrate technology (e.g., SMART Boards, iPads,
educational apps) into instruction
- Participate in staff meetings, professional
development, and school initiatives
- Contribute positively to a faith-based, culturally
diverse school environment
Qualifications
& Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Arabic, Education, or a
related field from an accredited institution (teaching certification is an
asset)
- Experience teaching Arabic at the elementary level
is preferred
- Strong classroom management and organizational
skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of current, research-based strategies for
early language learning and literacy development
- Experience integrating technology into classroom
instruction
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet
diverse learner needs
- Commitment to inclusive education and student
success
- Cultural sensitivity and respect for a faith-based
school environment
- Ability to build strong relationships with
students, parents, and staff
- Experience with project-based or play-based
learning is considered an asset
