An established transportation and logistics organization is seeking a Claims Manager (Freight Claims & OS&D) to oversee its freight claims function within a high-volume LTL environment.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in freight claims, Overages, Shortages & Damages (OS&D), or transportation operations who enjoys investigating freight issues, resolving complex claims, and working closely with terminals, operations teams, carriers, and customers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage the end-to-end freight claims process, including cargo damage, shortages, overages, loss claims, and other OS&D (Overages, Shortages & Damages) matters
- Investigate liability, review supporting documentation, and coordinate claim resolution
- Work closely with terminals, operations teams, customers, and carriers to resolve freight discrepancies, freight recoveries, and OS&D issues
- Track claims activity, identify trends, and support process improvements aimed at reducing recurring claims and freight exceptions
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and transportation requirements
What They're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in freight claims, cargo claims, OS&D, transportation operations, or LTL logistics
- Strong understanding of freight documentation, claims procedures, liability investigations, and freight discrepancy resolution
- Experience investigating Overages, Shortages & Damages (OS&D), damaged freight, missing freight, and shipment exceptions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transportation environment
- Experience within an LTL carrier, transportation company, or 3PL environment is strongly preferred
