About the Role
Our hospitality group operates more than 26 hotels across British Columbia, spanning a uniquely diverse portfolio: roadside gems, beachfront escapes, resort‑style properties, and everything in between. We’re seeking an accomplished Senior Sales Director to lead our entire sales organization and drive growth across corporate, leisure, government, and group/event segments.
This role shapes the sales vision for the full portfolio, guides regional sales teams, and secures high‑value business that strengthens year‑round performance.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute group‑wide sales plans that support revenue goals across all property types
- Identify growth opportunities in corporate, leisure, government, and group/event segments
- Build annual sales budgets, forecasts, and performance targets
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and support Regional Sales Managers across the province
- Set clear performance goals, accountability structures, and development plans
- Foster a collaborative, high‑achieving sales culture
Market Growth & Business Development
- Grow market share across corporate, leisure, government, and group/event segments
- Secure high‑value enterprise accounts and government contracts, with a strong focus on low and shoulder season demand
- Drive group and event business - including weddings, corporate retreats, family gatherings, reunions, and multi‑property events, across the portfolio
- Strengthen relationships with travel partners, agencies, planners, and key industry stakeholders
Portfolio‑Wide Sales Execution
- Ensure consistent sales standards and best practices across all properties
- Support property‑level teams with tools, training, and strategic direction
- Oversee major RFPs, contract negotiations, and rate strategies
Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Produce regular sales performance reporting for senior leadership
- Analyze trends, KPIs, and competitive data to inform strategy
- Adjust plans proactively to meet revenue and market share goals
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–10+ years of progressive hotel or hospitality sales leadership experience
- Proven success managing multi‑property or regional sales teams
- Strong track record securing enterprise accounts, government contracts, and group/event business
- Deep understanding of corporate, leisure, government, and group/event market dynamics
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute at both macro and micro levels
