Summary
We are seeking a Construction Estimator to join our team in Burnaby. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing accurate project estimates that support our company's mission of quality and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, scheduling, and coordination of daily project activities, including short-term lookaheads and site logistics.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information.
- Support project teams during the bidding process and prepare bid proposals and assist in contract negotiations.
- Use Bluebeam to enhance estimating accuracy.
- Review and update pricing strategies based on market trends.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client requirements.
- Support materials purchasing by obtaining quotes, preparing purchase orders, tracking approvals, confirming lead times, and reconciling packing slips with delivered materials.
- Support budget preparation, cost tracking, and basic financial reporting by monitoring cost codes, change impacts, and invoice status.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within a general contracting environment.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and project management software.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Relevant certifications or training in construction estimation is a plus.
Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Construction Estimating or Project Coordinating: 2 years (preferred)
