Leasing Agent Job Description

Spotted Properties is a fast-growing, local property management company that serves Hamilton and the surrounding areas. The company is currently managing over 1000 residential units and we are looking for part-time leasing agents or realtors to join our team!

This job will be perfect for licensed realtors, real estate wholesalers, or the ones who are currently enrolled in real estate courses and wish to gain some immediate experience!

Leasing agent responsibilities:

  • Examining properties and informing maintenance staff of issues.
  • Assist in preparing for marketing materials for the office. E.g Taking photos and videos.
  • Sending out notice of entry if units are currently occupied.
  • Showing the unit.
  • Assisting in screening prospective tenants to ensure they meet eligibility requirements.
  • Completing lease applications and assisting with the verification of application information.
  • Informing prospective tenants of results.
  • Updating the leasing manager of the property regularly.
  • Collecting all relevant info from the approved tenants before their move-in.
  • Maintaining and storing documentation effectively.
  • Flexible hours but must be willing to work on weekends or evenings.

Leasing agent requirements:

  • A passion for excellence in customer service delivery.
  • A minimum of 1 year of property leasing experience.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Able to work both independently and comfortably as part of a team.
  • Aptitude for working in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to discretion and confidentiality.
  • Vehicle.
  • Full G license and criminal record check required.

Job Types:

  • Commission. $300/unit and $100/room leased.
  • Flexible amount up to 20 listings a month (Or more)

Experience:

  • Leasing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Types: Part-time, Commission

Salary: $1,500.00-$5,000.00 per month

Additional pay:

  • Commission pay
