Video Editor – Final Cut Pro
Freelance Contract | Ongoing Project-Based Work
Antares Media is a Toronto-based creative production studio producing cinematic video content for businesses, brands and organizations.
We’re looking for a skilled and reliable freelance Video Editor to work with us on an ongoing, project-by-project basis. This is not a beginner position. We need someone who understands storytelling, pacing, music, sound design and exceptionally strong colour grading.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Editing corporate videos, brand films, interviews and social content
- Professionally colour correcting and grading footage
- Cleaning and mixing dialogue, music and sound effects
- Creating short-form edits for social platforms
- Following creative briefs while also bringing your own ideas to the edit
- Keeping up with current editing styles, platform trends and post-production techniques
- Organizing projects properly and meeting agreed-upon deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- Strong proficiency in Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve is required
- Excellent colour-correction and colour-grading abilities
- Strong sense of storytelling, pacing, music and sound design
- Detail-oriented, proactive and able to work independently
- Consistent communication and reliable turnaround times
- Your own professional editing system and software
- Experience with Motion, or After Effects is an asset
Compensation
$40–$60 per hour, depending on experience, portfolio and project requirements. Fixed project rates may also be arranged.

This is an ongoing freelance contract with the potential to develop into a more regular role as Antares Media continues to grow.
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour

Experience:
- Final Cut Pro: 3 years (preferred)
- color grading: 3 years (preferred)
