Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and moving tasks. Experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate efficient loading processes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred.
- Previous experience in commercial driving or delivery roles is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Experience with forklifts and warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and engage in physical activity throughout the day.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Forklift Certification an asset.
