LJ Patterson Sales & Service is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Technician to join our growing team. We are searching for someone who takes pride in their work, brings strong diagnostic and repair skills, and is ready to help lead and develop the next generation of technicians.
What We’re Looking For:
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Technician certification (tractor experience required)
- Strong experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural equipment and tractors
- Comfortable working across multiple brands of tractors, trailers, and equipment
- Someone who can work independently while also supporting the team around them
- Willingness to mentor apprentices and take an active role in training and development
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Bonus Qualifications:
- Ability to perform trailer MVI inspections for trailers over 4,500kg (10,000 lbs)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors, trailers, and agricultural equipment
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance
- Work closely with service advisors and customers to ensure quality repairs
- Support apprentices and help build a strong, knowledgeable shop environment
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and productive workplace
