We are currently hiring a Robotic Cell Operator for one of our client a leader in the development, manufacture and distribution of loading dock systems and material handling equipment.
Our client is located at Derry and Kennedy area of Mississauga.
Day shift - Monday through Friday 9AM-5:30PM (Flexible to possibly transfer to afternoon shift in future)
Afternoon Shift: Mon-Thurs 3pm-12:30am, Fri 3pm-7pm - TRAIN ON Days 6am-230pm
Pay Rate - $23.00 per hour
Robotic Cell Operator
Responsible for startup, shutdown, loading, unloading, and monitoring of robotic weld process. Operators will be trained to identify reasons for robot stoppages; arc failures, change tips, wire jams, etc., make corrections where possible and escalate to robot technicians when required. Associates will also be responsible for checking raw material and completed parts for quality before they are used or transferred on to next process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process startup, documentation with startup sheet, process shutdown at the end of shift.
- Ability to follow a production schedule and adapt to meet changing production requirements as they occur.
- Familiar with arc welds, the quality of the weld and be able to identify a bad weld for repair.
- Monitor raw material stock levels and alert production supervision when low.
- Monitoring process for stoppages during the welding process, troubleshooting and solving issues as they arise or calling for help when beyond the scope of their training.
- Unloading finished product, completing quality checks before moving parts to next process.
- Interact with other employees to facilitate teamwork in production, troubleshooting and maintaining process flow.
- Responsible to protect own and all other co-workers’ health and safety by working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.
- Participate in 6S and Lean manufacturing practices.
