This position is full time, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
The General Labourer is a valuable role in the yard as it helps to support all other aspects of the business. Safety is a top priority and by ensuring that the yard is organized and clear, allows for others to move safely around the yard to complete their jobs.
- Completing all duties as assigned in a timely and efficient manner
- Working with a variety of tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Other general labour duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Amix is looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 or GED
- Scrap medal experience
- Forklift, welding or bobcat experience
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Experience in the use of a variety of tools
- Must be reliable, mature, punctual, motivated
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team and communicate effectively
- Knowledgeable in general safety practices
