We are seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to manage inventory accuracy and inbound operations through active, day-to-day involvement on the warehouse floor. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and maintaining accurate inventory.
You will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor – Fulfillment and Outbound Operations to keep inventory and fulfillment aligned, and act as the primary point of contact for Customer Service on inventory related matters. This position also requires regular hands-on involvement including physical order picking and cart assembly to support fulfillment demands.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory using the operating system
- Run and review reports to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure all inventory is properly recorded and assigned a location
- Maintain accurate records of in-transit inventory
- Perform cycle counts, audits, and lead annual physical inventory
- Receive, inspect and process returns
- Maintain strong stock control practices
Receiving & Put-Away
- Receive incoming shipments and container and verify quantities
- Accurately enter and receive inventory into the system
- Perform and ensure timely put-away of all inventory
- Organize and maintain storage locations
- Plan and manage space for incoming inventory to ensure smooth flow
- Ensure all receiving documentation is complete and communicated to Customer Service
Warehouse Organization & Process Improvement
- Maintain a clean, organized, and clearly labelled warehouse
- Optimize inventory placement to improve efficiency and accessibility
- Replenish picking locations to support fulfillment
- Support the development and documentation of warehouse processes
- Identify and implement improvements to layout, flow, and efficiency
Communication & Coordination
- Act as the main contact for Customer Service on inventory related inquiries
- Provide accurate and timely updates on stock availability, delays, and discrepancies
- Communicate daily with Warehouse Supervisor-Outbound Operations on incoming inventory, priorities and space planning.
Operational Support
- Maintain a consistent, hands-on presence on the warehouse floor
- Perform order picking and cart assembly to support fulfillment demands
- Assist with other general warehouse tasks to ensure smooth daily operations
Leadership & Safety
- Lead by example with a strong hands-on approach
- Provide guidance and support to team members on inventory processes
- Follow and enforce all safety and OHSA requirements
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications
- 5 years of warehouse experience (inventory/receiving)
- Experience with WMS or inventory systems,
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to use reports and data (especially Excel) to manage and analyze inventory
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Ability to lift and move up to 65 lbs on a regular basis
