Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cleaning operations, hospitality, and custodial management. This leadership role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a team effectively. The Housekeeping Manager will ensure that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, contributing to a positive environment for guests and staff alike.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient operations
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols aligned with industry standards
- Train new staff on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and customer service expectations
- Conduct regular inspections of all areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective usage
- Address guest or staff concerns promptly and professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning efforts during special events or peak times
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, staff performance, and supply usage
Experience
- Proven experience in cleaning management within hotel, hospitality, or industrial settings
- Strong background in custodial services, industrial cleaning, or related fields
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a housekeeping or custodial environment preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and industry best practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with staff, guests, and management professionally
