Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens, towels, and other laundry items within our hotel or hospitality environment. The Laundry Attendant ensures that all laundry is processed efficiently, hygienically, and in accordance with quality standards. Prior hotel experience and familiarity with laundry and cleaning procedures are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Operate commercial laundry machines to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing
- Sort laundry items according to type, color, and cleaning requirements
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned to hotel standards for hygiene and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly sanitizing equipment and workspaces
- Monitor inventory levels of detergents, cleaning supplies, and linen stock
- Assist with loading and unloading laundry carts efficiently and safely
- Follow safety procedures when handling chemicals or operating machinery
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly
Qualifications
- Previous hotel experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Experience with laundry operations or cleaning services is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads
- Reliable work ethic with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
