What is the opportunity?

Ownr, an RBC Venture, is changing the way businesses launch in Canada. We are a digital platform making it easier, faster, and more affordable to get started through our suite of services and offerings for new businesses. With the changing landscape of work, more new businesses are launching and having a side hustle is the norm. We plan to become the place to launch and run a business in Canada. We are looking to hire a Marketing Manager. Ownr is a growing lean startup located at our RBC Ventures office in downtown Toronto.

In this role, you’ll play an important role driving adoption and growth of Ownr by Canadian entrepreneurs.

What will you do?

Play an important role developing performance marketing plans, developing targets, determining budget allocation to meet our objectives;
Lead and manage demand generation programs to drive traffic and conversion for Ownr;
Refine and amplify Ownr’s story and brand in the Canadian market, connecting with the right audience;
Work closely with the Ownr team to manage the customer funnel;
Stay on top of digital marketing analytics; and deliver insights to the team;
Actively sharing information, insights and implications across RBC Marketing and Business partner teams to ensure timely discussion and resolution.
Managing external agencies and partners;

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

3-5 years of performance marketing experience as it relates to paid digital advertising (i.e. Facebook Ads, Paid Search, LinkedIn Ads), with the ability to strategize, test and execute to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable with performance metrics and reporting
Proven ability to think big picture strategy, and roll-up-your sleeves to deliver. Must be an enthusiastic, well-organized self-starter who takes initiative and adapts to change;
Strong ability to work in a collaborative, supportive way across the organization but also comfortable working independently to achieve results;
Willingness to learn, test and optimize your work in order to evolve and deliver against targets;
An individual contributor comfortable educating and influencing stakeholders without authority;
Above average copy-writing skills, to quickly turn around advertising campaigns when required;
Very good knowledge of Google Analytics, Landing Page software and Social Advertising Platforms;
Familiarity and experience with SEO, content marketing and email marketing best practices;
Nice to have

Experience and success in both a small startup environment and a large matrix organization
University degree in marketing or other related field
Experience working within a SaaS (Fintech, eComm) company is highly desirable
