Marcon is seeking a hands-on Building Manager (Live-In) to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and presentation of two residential communities, Dogwood and Hue. Reporting to the Regional Property Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring both properties remain safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for residents.
This role combines building maintenance, property inspections, vendor coordination, and common area up keep. You will be responsible for responding to maintenance requests, identifying deficiencies before they become larger issues, supporting contractors and service providers on-site, and helping maintain high standards of property appearance and operational readiness.
At Dogwood, the role includes additional responsibility for routine inspections, site maintenance activities, and supporting the overall functionality and performance of the property. Success in this position requires strong practical maintenance skills, sound judgment, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to resident service.

You will work independently while partnering closely with property management, vendors, contractors, and fellow facilities team members to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard. The role offers a diverse mix of maintenance, operational, and resident-focused responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining exceptional communities.

3–5 years of experience in building operations, facilities maintenance, property operations, or a related field

Practical experience performing minor repairs, inspections, janitorial support, and general property maintenance

Strong understanding of safe work practices and preventative maintenance principles

Ability to prioritize work effectively and respond to urgent maintenance issues

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently while coordinating with property management and service providers

Valid BC Driver's License

Ability to lift up to 20 kg and safely move tools, materials, ladders, appliances, and related equipment

Availability to respond to after-hours or emergency maintenance situations as required

Experience with Yardi Maintenance IQ or similar maintenance management systems is considered an asset

Red Seal certification or a related trade qualification is considered an asset
Compensation
The annual salary for this position is $50,000 to $70,000 depending on experience and optional live-in status.
