Unit Summary

The Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) is a collaborative program funded and operated jointly by Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Hospital. The Program is committed to change and innovation, through education, service and research, to bring the highest quality science into healthcare for the benefit of the community and to participate in the clinical application and interpretation of the science.

Position Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technologist will be responsible for processing, embedding, cutting, staining H&E's, special stains, frozen section on surgical and autopsy material. Candidate may be asked to perform a practical test to assess their technical abilities.

Schedule Work Hours

Monday to Friday; days

This position may be required to work at any HHS site as needed.

Qualifications

1. Current Registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
2. Current (minimum 3 years) experience in all aspects of Histology
3. Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
4. A practical exam may be a part of the interview process
