We are currently recruiting for a tax accountant to join our downtown tax team. Our current Tax Team consists of three Partners, three Managers, two newly designated CPAs, and a Tax Technician. You will work directly with our Tax team and be mentored and trained by like-minded individuals possessing significant tax expertise and knowledge. Preference will be given to CPA candidates with previous public accounting experience and individuals committed to continuing their professional development in tax.
The ideal tax enthusiast will have a 2 to 3 years’ public accounting experience and the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- The ability to multi-task and enjoys a fast-paced work environment;
- The desire to enroll in the CICA In-Depth Tax Course;
- Attention to detail and experience working in a collaborative team dynamic;
- Committed to working closely to support our professional practice teams;
- Experience preparing tax returns and a familiarity working with CRA;
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Experience with software including IFIRM, CaseWare, Taxprep, and Microsoft Office; and,
- Enthusiastic about small and mid-sized businesses.
